The health and safety of patients and staff at Southwest Allergy and Asthma Associates is our top priority. With this in mind, we will be moving to seeing 100% of our patients via telemedicine. This can be done by laptop, tablet or smartphone. When you call in our staff will assist you in connecting to myself (Dr. Venzor) or PA Felix or PA Tonia. All insurances are covering televisits currently. If you do not have insurance, we charge a minimal rate.
Many elderly, asthmatic, and immunodeficient patients are at high risk and achieving the proper amount of social distancing inside the office is difficult.
We are still open for immunotherapy shots; however, our buildup has changed to every other week. All shots are now being given outside the patients’ car after they call from the parking lot. If no reaction is present, please call us in 30 minutes to notify us before leaving.
All biologic shots (Xolair, Fasenra, Nucala, Dupixent) will also be given in the parking lot. Please speak with April when you make your appointment.
We realize the inconvenience of these measures, but they are temporary and are in line with federal and allergy/immunology society recommendations. Thank you.
